Feast Debut Album ‘Multiverses’

One of Jakarta’s emerging rock band, .Feast, has officially released their debut album entitled Multiverses on September 20, 2017 under Leeds Records. Prior to their outstanding physical album, they will release the album in a digital format that can be played on Spotify since September 20th whose digital distribution is aided by Karma Records. The album, which has been prepared for about a year, will have 11 tracks that contains mix various elements of music from gospel, Motown, rock stoner, doom, to hip hop. This album mostly talks about social politics, especially about the situation of Indonesia nowadays in a metaphorical way.

 

What so interesting about this album is how you see .Feast back then with their first song “Camkan” turns into something even more uniquely valuable. How every of their songs contains of various genre and also collaboration with many other great artists like Mardial, Ramengvrl, and Bam Mastro for their stunning hip-hop song “Riphunter” and also with folk musicians like Oscar Lolang and Haikal Azizi (Bin Idris), Something that other band or musician in Indonesia ever thought of or simply hasn’t come to action.

 

 

“We absorb all sorts of colors and references, we invite collaborators who we feel able to give a different nuances on each song to forge material to describe a long narrative in a flash precisely,” said the band through a press release.Multiverses is an album that will remains relevant in various situation. .Feast manages to break the boundaries by not sticking to one genre. As a debut, “MULTIVERSES” is a very strong statement, there’s a balance between the album material and the way they promoted it.
